Aimee Morrisby is a passionate, generous and strong woman, who has overcome more than most of us can imagine.

On Friday the 18th of October, Aimee will not only be sharing with us her journey so far, but she will be raising funds for not one, but two Charities; Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Having suffered from Hirschsprung’s Disease since birth, Aimee spent a lot of time in hospital (including many special occasions), throughout her childhood so it’s understandable that these charities are close to her heart. The Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Foundation brought Santa and the Easter Bunny to the hospital, and provided gifts to all the sick children, including Aimee. Without these charities, holidays spent in hospital would have been that much harder, which is why Aimee is so passionate about raising funds for both organisations.

On the Couch with Aimee Morrisby is not your typical luncheon. Aimee will be asked very personal questions about living with Hirschsprung Disease, infertility and her surrogacy journey. Literally sitting on a couch, Aimee will share her answers in intimate detail with all her guests in the hope to inspire, educate and raise awareness on what it’s like living with a chronic illness and all that it entails.

Hosting the event is Fitzy’s Toowoomba, who will be providing delicious ‘out of the box’ food and drinks for all attendees. As someone who loves her food, Aimee has shared with us how important it was to make sure that the food would not only taste amazing, but that there would be a lot of it!

When we last spoke to Aimee there were only a handful of tickets left, so if you have been sitting on the fence about buying a ticket, we urge you to grab them now! As mentioned before, this is not your typical luncheon; it’s not about wearing designer labels and fashion on the fields, its about raising money for two amazing charities, and being able to relate to parts of Aimee’s journey-knowing that you aren’t alone. So, wear whatever makes you feel good and comfortable but if you are worried you can’t afford a ticket because you need to buy an outfit; check out what’s already in your wardrobe and spend your money on a ticket, with the WHOLE amount going to the incredible charity organisations.

Come and listen to Aimee share her journey! Come and enjoy the incredible food, the ever flowing drinks and did we mention there will be a raffle, auction and after party? There is going to be so much going on that you are not going to want to miss out on attending On the Couch with Aimee Morrisby!
